Detroit's downtown is full of fun things to see and do. You shouldn’t miss the Renaissance Center, which is composed of seven huge circular glass towers along the Detroit River. The RenCen is surrounded by revitalized historic neighborhoods such as Greektown.

Nearby is Trappers Alley, a historic fur trapper's warehouse that now houses shops and a museum. Check out the Cultural Center, a cluster of world class galleries and museums, and the Museum of African American History, the world's largest African-American historical and cultural museum, for a culturally enriching day out. The Detroit Science Center is a good place to take the kids.
